How to Find More of the Hayes Diaries and Letters

This digitized version of The Diary and Letters of Rutherford B. Hayes represents 90% of Hayes' diaries but only a fraction of the letters now available to Hayes researchers. The diaries and letters were microfilmed in 1983 and are available in major libraries and on interlibrary loan from the Hayes Presidential Center. All incoming and outgoing correspondence has been indexed at the Library and transcriptions have been made of a substantial portion of the collection.
