Description
Within each of the four prehistoric categories, there are smaller groupings or cultures, again based on similarities in sites and artifacts. These groups are linked to smaller areas and shorter time periods. The thumbnail image is of a flint projectile point of the Kirk Corner Notched type. The base curves inward slightly and the edges have been ground smooth. Notches were made from the corners of the base. The blade is triangular, beveled and serrated. It is 65mm long and is dark gray mottled with gray. From Franklin County, Ohio. Catalog number: A0013/000008 Image Number: AL07093
