Title
8a.14 - Serpent Mound (video)
Description
Because no artifacts were found in the serpent itself and because snakes do not appear generally in the ancient art of Ohio, it has been hard to determine who built Serpent Mound. At one time, archaeologists thought that it was built by the Adena culture because of the presence of near-by Adena mounds. In 1991, archaeologists excavated a small slice through the effigy.
