EARLY OHIO POSTAL ROUTES

by WILLIAM D. OVERMAN

Director, Library and Archives

Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Akron, Ohio

Editor's Note: Considerable interest has been indicated in

Dr. Overman's article on "Early Ohio Postal Routes," published

in the January-March 1946 issue of the Quarterly (pp. 21-29).

Particularly philatelists who specialize in early stampless covers

have expressed appreciation for the article. It has been sug-

gested that the publication of the postal routes established in Ohio

between 1812 and 1823 would be useful. The following list is

included as a supplement to Dr. Overman's previous article.
