OHIO HISTORY, successor to the

Ohio Historical Quarterly, is pub-

lished by the Ohio Historical

Society at Columbus, Ohio, in

the Winter, Spring, Summer, and

Autumn. The primary purpose of

the magazine is to publish arti-

cles, documents, and reviews

which contribute to the knowl-

edge of the history of the State

of Ohio and its people. The edi-

tors are interested in contribu-

tions in social, cultural, economic,

and institutional history, as well

as political history. Contributors

are asked to submit the original

copy of their typed manuscript,

which should be double-spaced

throughout with the footnotes at

the end. Contributions should be

addressed to the Editor, Ohio

Historical Society, Columbus,

Ohio 43210.

Ohio newspapers are invited

to reprint articles from this mag-

azine, with proper credit.

OHIO HISTORY is distributed

to Society members. Subscriptions
