Instructions
for Authors
Ohio History is an online publication
of the Ohio Historical Society. The journal was established in June 1887
as the Ohio Archaeological and Historical Quarterly. Its primary
purpose is to publish articles, documents, notes, and reviews concerning
the political, military, social, economic, and cultural history of Ohio
and the Middle West. The editors welcome studies in general fields of
American history if they possess obvious relevance to Ohio and the Middle
West.
Authors are asked to
submit two double-spaced typed copies of their manuscripts. Footnotes
should be double-spaced and placed at the end of the article. Upon acceptance
for publication, please check with editor concerning submission of digital
text to speed typesetting. Contributions should be addressed to the Editor,
Ohio History, Ohio Historical Center, 1982 Velma Avenue, Columbus,
Ohio 43211-2497. The society accepts no responsibility for facts and opinions
expressed by the authors.
Articles appearing in this journal are abstracted
and indexed in Historical Abstracts, America: History and Life, Abstracts
of Popular Culture, Recently Published Articles, and The Journal
of American History. Back issues, reprints, and microfilm editions
are available through the Ohio Historical Society and University Microfilms.
