8d.2 Monongahela Point

Monongahela Point

This point is from the Opatrny site, an upland village in Belmont County occupied between A.D. 1100 and 1200. The small triangular Madison-type biface was probably used as an arrowhead rather than a spear point. It is made of black flint.
