8a.10 Fort Ancient Pottery
Description
By studying the large amounts of pottery made by the Fort Ancient culture, archaeologists can see how that culture changed over time throughout the Ohio Valley. The pottery in this case is from Fort Ancient sites in southern and southwestern Ohio. Other types, differing in decoration and form, were made in the Hocking and Muskingum valleys and in Kentucky and West Virginia
