5b.6 Seip Earthworks Objects
Description
The objects displayed here were found in the large Seip mound. They include an effigy pipe made from steatite, a trumpeter swan effigy cut from tortoise shell, copper objects, textiles, a human head effigy made from clay, a large flint spear point, and a flint knife. The large oval mound and a small restored section of the earthworks are the focal points of a state park that is open year-round. Catalog Number: A 0957/000123, Image Number: AL07297
