Title
5a.13 Other Types of Ornaments
Description
The Adena culture also used marine and fresh-water clam shells, bone, and copper to make ornaments. The use of copper and marine shells indicates that the Adena maintained the trade practices of their Archaic ancestors. Presumably, the bracelets and beads made from these materials continued to be status symbols. Catalog Number: A 1200/000013.001, Image Number: AL07336
