Title
1.6 First Ohioans Chronology (video)
Description
As archaeologists have studied many sites, they have found that some are similar while others are different. They assume that sites that are similar were occupied by Native Americans who had other things in common, such as a shared language, beliefs, and social organization--a common culture. But the cultures defined by archaeologists are not the same as cultures defined by anthropologists or sociologists. An archaeological culture might combine very different groups if they happened to use the same sets of artifacts in their daily activities.
